Miss Dixie's Foundation

Fighting Food Insecurity for Animals and People Distributor of food and supplies to animal rescues, sanctuaries, vulnerable seniors, and food-insecure families. Since 2017, Miss Dixie’s Foundation has distributed over $4.5 million worth of pet food across Ontario. We began by supporting animal rescues and sanctuaries with donations from manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring no pet goes hungry or is surrendered due to lack of food. Today, we also serve over 430 vulnerable seniors across several communities by providing weekly food hampers filled with essentials like bread and produce.

Thanks to partners like Cobs Bread, Ayr Foodland, 3 Freshco's in Cambridge, Starbucks, and Second Harvest, we reduce food waste and deliver compassion directly to those in need. Special deliveries are made to shelters, mental health facilities, and programs like Monica Place. We also bring joy to isolated seniors during holidays with gifts and thoughtful care. Miss Dixie’s Foundation is 100% volunteer-run and driven by compassion.
